Different countries-Different habits

In Bristol and above all in the OISE school we can meet students from all of the world : Russia, Spain, Taiwan and France of course ... to study English and consequently their different cultures mix together.
When in England people born with an umbrella and boots, in Russia, they born with a bottle of vodka, in France with a french stick and in Tawain with a computer instead of brain.
Everybody knows that Russia is the biggest country in the world. Many different nationalities live in Russia and they all have very varied livestyles. They are friendly, polite. When in the north of Russia the weather can be cold, in the south, it can be very hot and in England, unfortunetely, it is rainning like cats and dogs.
In Syria, people love a Libaneses singer name Fairouz. With many singers, she sang in musicals as Mais el Reem, Petra or the beautiful Baya el-Khawatim directed by Youssef Chahine. Fairouz is my childhood, but nowadays, with the society of consuming, music in Syria has become a commercial thing.
In France, inhabitants are well known for their bad mood, for their strange taste for frog's legs and for their sence of humor.
In Taiwan, Taiwanese are very kind and passion. Taiwan also have many special local product, like fruit. But the weak point of Taiwan is the weather.

Maybe it;s too difficult to find something news, but in our company ,there have a surprise for you .It's Desert coffee ,have you ever heard it from anybody ? Let us let know!

Firstly ,there are many kinds of coffee in the world, we already know the taste from it. But ,our coffee is different than others, why ?because, our coffee comes from natural producer and it's made in desert !Everyone knows about it that the food or drink which you made it,it's more delicious that others ,so in our coffee bar ,we have lots of service about it. you can have a cup of coffee and some order some sugar and milk ,then you can help yourself to make what you want, also you can order same snakes for free.

Maybe you might to ask that who can have our service. It's about the people who below 45 years old and above 5 years old ,why? Because we thought about that people who above 45 years old, they aren't good to have too much coffee, also we can service to the yang people, cause they are yang, so why not?

Our coffee bar is more different than others, have you ever thought about the coffee without caffeine? Maybe not, it's very healthy and no harmful. Also ,we believe, we don't need to beat any competition, cause in our company, we said:'there is no best, only better!'

Changing of gender roles in Korea

A long time ago, Korea was very poor and the majority of Koreans worked in the agriculture industry. Korea was an agricultural society. Due to the poverty there was high child mortality. Agriculture needed many workers, so traditionally the Korean family was big, with normally 10 people over 70 years ago. Their work was separated by gender. For example, sons worked in the fields with their fathers and daughters helped their mothers or took care of young siblings at home. I think that the preference for boys started from this period.

Family sizes changed after the Korean war(1950-1953), decreasing to 5 or 6 people. The number of workers decreased in the agriculture business and Korea was modernized after the war, but the gender roles continued. At that time almost all women did not go to school, they only graduated from elementary school. Continuing the development, most Koreans worked in industrial businesses and made lots of money, and Korea became a rich country.

While Korea was developing, many people could be educated to a higher level than before, and many parents gave the same chance for education to their daughters as their sons. From the late 70s, many women studied at university. However, almost all women became house-wives after marriage. Furthermore, many people could study in foreign countries. Many people needed higher-level education after Korea became a wealthy country.

Almost all parents wanted their children to be smart and rich, so they spent lots of money on education for their children. As a result, many women have a job after finishing their study and do not resign from their jobs after marriage. After that nowadays young women do not want to have babies, so nowadays the Korean family consists of 3 or 4 people. They have spent more money than their parents, because, they can not look after their kids. Unfortunately, many Korean children spend lots of time in private academies after school instead of in playgrounds with friends.

In conclusion, traditional gender roles were broken in Korea. Many women were well-educated and worked well in the company. Nowadays the number of families where the woman earns money and man works in the home is slightly increasing. However, my personal opinion is that this is not a positive development. Women can work well, but women can care for their family much better than men and men can work better in bad conditions than women.
