About Us

We are the students and staff of OISE Bristol language school. Some students are here for just a week, others stay for months.

Stonehenge

Recently, many students have asked about visiting STONEHENGE
a monument which is over 4000 years old.

As of June 2012 the price of an adult ticket is £7.80.

You can also download an app called Stonehenge Experience for £1.99

PLEASE REMEMBER
You will not be able to touch the stones, or even go close to the stones at Stonehenge. This is only allowed during the shortest night of the year, in June.

If you want to go close to a stone circle, I suggest you visit the Avebury Ring, also in Wiltshire.

If you would like to organise a trip with some other students, this is what you can do:

HIRE A CAR
Stonehenge is about 75km (46 miles) from Bristol.

I suggest you go to Europcar, or their website, and hire a car for the journey.
The Triangle
Berkeley Place

You can see the route if you go to Google Maps and type in 'Bristol to Stonehenge, A344' in the search box...
..or click on the picture:

If there are too many of you to fit in one car, you could also
HIRE A MINIBUS

We suggest SouthWest MiniBuses

You need to tell them a pick up time and place in Bristol, and where you want to go.

Tell them how many people, and when you want to go back to Bristol.

TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Buy a return train ticket to Salisbury and then get the Stonehenge Tour Bus.

Before you go, make sure you see Salisbury Cathedral, it is very beautiful.
